Every year my son and I go to "A Christmas Story" @ Crossroads Church here in Lafayette. It's an amazing Broadway style interactive experience and totally free. They do multiple days and times to ensure everyone can make time to attend. They also also do free Santa pictures so make sure your phone is charged bc you'll use it to take the pictures. You can expect to wait 15-30 minutes if you wait until after the play. However, we leave about 5 minutes before the play ends to get into line early. When you come out of the auditorium go left to get to Santa, you'll have to go upstairs.
Crossroads was the first church I attended as a young woman of 20 years old. That was 1990. Out of that service, I met Jesus, was filled with the Holy Spirit and my life was forever changed. I was profoundly healed after morning service in 1992 in a very unexpected way. I left Louisiana in 1996 for another state. Now that I'm back home, I'll return to my first church 🏠. I can't wait :)

This church is truly divine. They are intentionally passionate towards the body of Christ. Expect every sermon to feel like personal and every worship experience to be extremely passionate. The Pastors, preachers, ministers, and more are all seriously dedicated to serving God and their community. Plus the community at Crossroads church is so kind and gentle. This church has modern-styled interior design. It also features captivating accent pieces. It is so cozy in there. Really peaceful. Definitely consider this church when near by!
We had the absolute pleasure of going to this church's Christmas program called the "Real Story of Christmas".
There were some of the more traditional Christmas stories as well as the nativity. When I say it was fun for all ages I mean it.
They had santa, elf on a shelf and real life animals just to name a few.
After seeing this production and all the hard work this church put into it, I can't wait to attend a regular service there.
I will say it is a more modern church atmosphere. More secular music than some churches, but if it introduces anyone to Christ, then I find no fault with it.
As I said. I will definately be coming for a Sunday service very soon.
An incredible & life giving church! The pastor & staff genuinely love God and love people! A great multicultural community that I'd recommend to anyone in the area to call "home"!
The first time I stepped into the church immediately I felt the present of God! People are so warm and friendly. I loved the music and how feel so close to God.I love the way the pastor preach the word right from the bible....so direct and no sugarcoat!! If you're looking for a church I would recommend this church.
